Current Need

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Program Specialist to join our team in Irving, TX.

Position Description

The primary role of the BI Program Specialist is to oversee and manage the definition, design, and execution of the analytical solutions in Finance Shared Services to ensure value driven outcomes. Create, support, and being accountable for the communication efforts among the finance towers and reporting and analytics teams. Provide action and process support, coach and facilitate learning across BAs. Create new functional initiatives for the tower supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to create Business Canvas – Understand Project Scope, Outcome, Risk, Project timeliness, resource planning, feedback looping
  • Design analytical solutions – Prototypes developments, Root causes analysis, data science
  • Review execution of project, act as scrum master of planning the sprint sessions, work closely with Snr. Business Advocate to review of the completed tasks and flag for any risk/issues
  • Review UAT & validation, feedback induction and final release to the project stakeholders
  • Understand and document value generation, create use cases
  • Work independently on the ad-hoc requests

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

  • 2-5 years PM experience (Jr to Mid Level, Business and Technical project experience)
  • 4+ years hands experience in executing analytical projects (from initiation to delivery) in F&A including but not limited to AP, AR, Credit, rebates, charge backs, discounts, leakages, disputes, contract management, MDM
  • 4+ years of stakeholder management experience and ability to deliver and own multiple project stakeholders
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills, and be able to provide guidance to junior developers
  • Experience presenting status and KPI’s to various levels of management
  • Logical thinker, ability to grasp new concepts and ideas easily
  • Excellent verbal/written communication
  • Able to manage scope and facilitate discussion with various groups
  • Extremely organized and able to multi task on multiple complex projects at once while meeting critical deadlines
  • Independent thinker, able to persuade and motivate team members towards goal
  • Team player with experience managing projects groups and team with various personalities
  • Client facing experience would be an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible positive attitude

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Expertise in Finance & Accounting domain
  • Proficiency with BI and Analytics tools such SQL, Python, Excel
  • Good to have exposure in BI tools like: Tableau, Power BI
  • Proficiency with analytical skills – Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using analytical techniques and generate actionable insights
  • Strong object-oriented background

Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, statistics, or related field or equivalent experience
