The ERP Project Manager role is to co-develop, plan, and implement the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (Microsoft Finance & Operations) across core organizational functions. Determines scope of the project based on requirements gathered. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors progress for the ERP system. Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future ERP system requirements to meet organizational needs. Leads the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with ERP configuration. Manages and assists team of implementation specialists and trainers to ensure necessary work is being completed on time. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing departmental processes.

The person(s) in this role must monitor and manage several projects over the life of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation project. There are many teams working on individual tasks and many tasks occurring simultaneously. Therefore, the effective project manager determines the right level of involvement—keeping a close enough eye on assigned projects while maintaining the "big picture" vision to ensure that the project as a whole is on target.

Responsibilities for ERP Project Manager

  • Ensuring that the ERP system meets business requirements and goals
  • Leads the project team by defining, prioritizing, coordinating, and managing project assignments to ensure tasks are completed appropriately and timely
  • Creates/establishes, maintains, tracks, and controls the project plan and schedules (milestones and deliverables) to ensure the success of the ERP implementation project
  • Ensure that project deliverables are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders and management
  • Follow-up on project tasks to ensure on-schedule completion
  • Manage and directs project resources
  • Assist in knocking down any walls that impede the teams from performing their tasks, including working to identify appropriate staff to participate in the project
  • Ability to manage, track, and communicate the project change orders
  • Pro-actively recommends to project leadership critical project direction and scope changes and options, in addition to monitoring and ensuring progress regarding the resolution of issues and risks Participate in the resolution of contract compliance issues
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to the Program Manager / Executive Steering Committee or Executive Sponsor as appropriate
  • Provide progress updates to Program Manager and necessary stakeholders
  • Facilitates collaborative relationships with other ERP implementation project teams
  • Develops routine written and verbal status reports and provides routine project updates, attends all project meetings and communicates status of project tasks to appropriate parties
  • Works to develop KPI’s based on projects / initiatives to streamline communication to stakeholders
  • Utilizes troubleshooting skills to address project related issues as well as the human resource needs of the team members and acts quickly to resolve problems and issues
  • Works independently under broad direction and goals
  • Experience managing ERP financial systems is a plus

Experience Required

  • ERP/IT/IS experience as administrator or project manager(Microsoft Finance & Operations preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite Applications; Specifically MS Project & Excel
  • Excellent communicator – written and verbal
  • Strong in one on one communications, within small and large groups
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively support teams
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
  • Excellent organizational skills - time management, multi-tasking, and attention to details
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Experience communicating requirements from stakeholders in system functionality and process
  • Flexible Time Requirements
  • Work experience in a highly regulated industry is a plus
  • Work experience in the Cannabis industry is a plus
  • Work experience on Agile teams is a plus
  • Work experience in Azure Dev ops is a plus
  • Work experience in PPM Express is a plus
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
