Location: UK/Europe - working remotely - Travel will be required (eventually)

I am seeking a Senior SAP ILM Archiving Consultant, with strong GDPR blocking and deletion experience who has the ability to architect and lead implementations of enterprise-level solutions of SAP ILM Archiving and GDPR blocking and deletion. 

Demonstrable, successful experience in all aspects in designing of SAP ILM archiving and GDPR blocking projects from requirements gathering to implementation and post go-live activities. Good client facing and strong communication skills to partake in daily collaboration with business representatives and technical leaders in addition to strong technical knowledge of ILM, an understanding of customer business processes such as OTC, PTP, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing archiving strategy's and verifying scope within SAP Landscape
  • Identifying and refining requirements / data-related optimization opportunities
  • Performing database analysis to identify and formulate proposed archiving roadmaps
  • Leading ILM workshops
  • Configuring ILM Archiving Objects for Blocking, Archiving, Reporting, Retrieval and/or Deletion, across various modules.
  • Identify test data for unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance.
  • Scheduling and executing Catch-Up and Ongoing Archiving runs, reviewing results, and optimizing where required


  • 10 years Archiving experience
  • A minimum 3 years ILM Experience
  • Experience of End to End Implementations of ILM Archiving Projects including GDPR blocking/deletion


  • Experience working with HANA or S/4 HANA
  • Strong knowledge of ILM supporting GDPR compliance
