Summary/Objective:
The SAP VC Modeler is a key member of the Gleason team responsible for the design, deployment, and ongoing support of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Sales solution. Collaborates with a diverse Corporate ERP and IT group as well as Corporate and Regional business teams to achieve strategic goals and objectives by delivering a world-class solution as promised on time and within budget.
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 years supporting product data and variant configuration-related activities in an SAP ERP system
Functional knowledge of integration of VC into SAP areas of SD, MM, PP, and CO
Detailed Knowledge and hands-on configuration skills with the following SAP Variant Configuration objects and processes
Knowledge of SAP pricing with and without Variant condition
Classes and Characteristics including the use of reference characteristics
Class hierarchies and inheritance
Configurable Bills of material and routings
Use of class nodes on bills of material
Object dependencies including table-based constraints
Variant functions
Configuration profiles
Familiarity with modeling both in classic VC, advanced VC, Product Modeling Environment (PMEVC)
User Interfaces for influencing logistics paperwork and configuration screens
Use of a ‘Golden Client’ method for model development including familiarity with ALE of VC objects
Proven experience developing training content and providing knowledge transfer to business “Super Users”
Willingness to document business processes and techniques applied in this role
Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts; handle shifting priorities in a flexible manner.
Exceptional communication skills: Influence, collaboration, and expectation management to work with Corporate Information Technology and business teams to deliver expected results.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a coordinating role or as a contributing team member
Desired
Prior SAP S/4HANA and Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) experience a strong plus
ABAP skills are highly desirable
C/C# skills highly desirable
SAP Hybris, SAP CPQ, SAP IPC experience a plus
Multi foreign language skills are a plus.
