Job Description

Overview

Our State Government Practice Group is seeking an Oracle Cloud Implementation Project Manager to join our team, contingent upon award of a project slated to start this fall. As the project manager you will work with client and vendor teams as they transition from an on-premise Oracle ERP application stack to an Oracle cloud-based ERP solution. This position will sit remotely servicing our client in Pennsylvania. You will report to senior leaders in the State Government Practice Group.

 

Travel Expectations: Although BerryDunn has limited consultant travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we anticipate at least 50% travel to client sites in the future to support projects.

Responsibilities

You Will:

 

Ensure effective and efficient management of client-owned tasks for the full implementation life cycle of an Oracle cloud-based ERP solution, including the following:

  • Provide direction to and manage the client’s team members and liaise between the client’s business and IT/project stakeholders to enable clear lines of communication and effectively manage expectations for all parties.
  • Collaborate with the vendors’ workstream leads and project managers to ensure alignment on project objectives and milestones.
  • Coordinate the client’s tasks across multiple workstreams, drive action items and decisions to resolution, and manage/update the master project plan on a regular basis, for all client-owned tasks, including:
    • Data Migration (cleansing, extracts, validation, defect remediation)
    • Environment (configuration, security/accounts, networking)
    • Technical Designs (RICE objects, batch schedule)
    • Development and Unit Testing (RICE objects)
    • Report rationalization and development of non-base reports
    • Quality Assurance (system integration testing scripts for legacy systems and end-to-end scenarios/scripts, end-to-end execution, user acceptance testing scenarios/scripts, user acceptance testing execution)
    • Change Management (standard operating procedure planning and development, end-user training, stakeholder communication)
    • Cutover (planning, execution)
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate/remediate project risks/issues and blockers.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings and document reviews and prepare a weekly status dashboard for the client’s areas of responsibility

Qualifications

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in managing at least two large, complex, multi-year ERP implementation projects transitioning from on-premises to cloud environments
  • Knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills including documenting complex issues succinctly and logically as well presenting complex issues to a variety of audiences
